We live in a world with TVs, smart phones, and computers all around us. We have Google, Bing, and Yahoo with answers to anything we have to ask. We can connect to people all around the globe with Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. We have knowledge at our fingertips and learn everything through technology. A majority of what we see and hear come from some form of technology.
Everyday, I see people with their face shoved in their phones trying to hear or see something, completely unaware of what’s going on around them. And it’s not just kids! I see adults do the same thing. For some reason, people of all ages see their smart device as a top priority and live their lives on their devices.
What’s a social media network? Something that connects people to each other with common interests or ideas. But we are TOO attached to these social medias. We are too concerned with how many friends or how many followers we have.
“And let me must express first
Mr Zuckerberg, not to be rude but you should re-classify Facebook to what it is:
An anti-social network” (Prince Ea)
I believe this expression of spoken word says it all. A clear vision of our world through clean, clear and level head.
I will admit that it’s not easy to put down a phone so easily, but there are times and places for phones and most times call for eye contact and heartfelt words face to face. when your out and about with friends or family, try to put your phone down and listen and talk. don’t just let your phone take control of your life. don’t get sucked in to the vacuum of loneliness your phone creates. take a look up and enjoy the world around you!
